Flake Glass
Flake glass has excellent anticorrosion characteristics in the fields of paint and lining, which gives it considerable potential for broader applications. The advantages of this product are:
Extended life for coating film of lining.
Prevention of cracking or peeling off in lining layer.
Improved wear resistance of lining layer.
Excellent level of durability against chemicals.
Advantex (TM) Surface Veil
 |
|
M524-ECR30S surface veil is a wet laid glass fiber tissue of randomly dispersed glass fibers bonded into a sheet by a polystyrene resin. It is a highly uniform sheet with consistent tensile strength, complementing the range of dry process composites.
The advantages of this product are:
Formulated for compatibility with all commonly used polyester and epoxy resin systems.
Helps to provide finished part surfaces that are chemically resistant to attach both acid and alkaline environments.
Highly soluble binder ensures rapid wet-out and good molding characteristics with excellent dry handling characteristics.
Contributes to the production of smooth, attractive, durable and readily paintable finishes. |
Milled Fibres

 |
|
Milled fibres are produced in two general product forms: powder and floccules. Powder being relatively free flowing with a high bulk density, used in formulations which require very uniform dispersions and short fibres and floccular being small modules of glass filaments, used in formulations where increased bulk or longer filaments are needed.
Milled fibres are glass filaments coated with a specific sizing to enhance resin compatibility and hammermilled to a specific bulk density. Unlike chopped strands which are chopped to a precise strand length, milled fibres are hammermilled to an average fibre length which is determined by the input glass and process conditions.
This product is compatible with Polyester, Epoxy, Phenolic and Thermoplastics Resin, and can be used in electrical connectors, automotive components, friction products and putty compounds. |
Continuous Filament Mat
 |
|
Continuous Fliament Mat are random oriented mats made from continuous fibres which impact high dry tensile strengths required in Pultrusion and RTM / Infusion processes.
The advantage of these products are:
Offers little resistance to resin flow for easy and complete impregnation, resulting in high line speeds.
Excellent wet-out, improving the ability to coat individual glass filaments and strands.
Conforms to difficult shapes without causing wrinkles, which may cause laminate crackling.
Excellent laminate surface uniformity measurement.
Resists being pulled apart under tension during impregnation and molding.
Can be unrolled, cut and conveyed to the mould without losing its integrity.
Resists relocation in the mould, which can be caused by pressure and resin flow.
Provides the uniform weight and strand integrity customers desire. In the end-use application, this mat can provide uniform mechanical properties throughout the molded part. |
OC (TM) MOLDING MAT
This mat is comprised of s non-woven synthetic core, stitch-bonded between two layers
of binder free chopped fiberglass. The synthetic core provides for superior resin flow, while the fiberglass provides strong mechanical properties. This product is desired for use in various closed molding techniques including resin transfer (RTM), vacuum-assist (VARTM) and press molding. The advantages of the OC TM Molding mar are:
| High resin permeability.
Fast wet-out.
Excellent conformability.
Variable part thickness capabilities. |
Multi-resin compatible sizings.
Excellent surface finish capabilities.
Easy handling and cutting. |
